The Plaxton Trophy
Presented by Plaxton, Scarborough and awarded to the full size coach (over 33 seats) placed highest in the Concours d’Elegance section of the Rally.

The Alexander Trophy
Presented by Walter Alexander & Co. (Belfast) Ltd. and awarded to the full size (non low floor) service bus type vehicle (over 33 seats) placed highest in the Concours d’Elegance section of the Rally.

The Metro Cup
Donated by Translink and awarded to the best urban or inter-urban low floor vehicle placed highest in the Concours d’Elegance section of the Rally.

The Dublin Bus Perpetual Trophy
Donated by Dublin Bus and awarded to the vehicle with bodywork of Irish manufacture gaining the highest marks in the Concours d’Elegance section of the Rally.

Section 2 – Driver

The Colourpoint Books Trophy
Donated by Norman Johnston, publisher of Colourpoint Books, this trophy is awarded to the driver of the preserved bus scoring the highest marks in all driving sections of the Rally.

The Irish Transport Trust Shield
Awarded to the driver of the non-preserved/independent sector vehicle scoring the highest marks in all driving sections of the Rally.

The Nicholson Memorial Trophy
Awarded to the driver from the Education/Health & Social Services Board sector gaining the highest points in the Driving Sections of the Rally. This trophy is presented in memory of Harvey Nicholson who in addition to being a founder member of the Trust was Deputy Transport Officer of the Belfast Education and Library Board.

The Werner Heubeck Memorial Cup
A new award presented by Translink and awarded to the driver from a large bus company gaining the highest points in the Driving Sections of the Rally. This trophy is presented in memory of Werner Heubeck, the charismatic managing director of Ulsterbus from its formation in 1967 until his retirement in 1988, who died last year.

The Chairman’s Trophy
Awarded to the driver of the preserved vehicle gaining the highest placing in all sections of the Rally.

The Ards Tours Trophy
Presented by long time Rally supporter and local operator, Jack Bell and awarded to the vehicle and driver from the independent sector scoring the highest points in all sections of the Rally.

Section 4 – Preserved Vehicle

The Leyland Trophy
Donated by Leyland Bus and awarded to the preserved Leyland vehicle scoring the highest points in all sections of the Rally.

The Gardner Trophy
Donated by L. Gardner & Sons Ltd. and awarded to the preserved vehicle with a Gardner engine scoring highest marks in all sections of the Rally.

Section 5 – Special Awards

The Redpath Trophy
Awarded to the vehicle and driver travelling the furthest distance to attend the Rally. The late Mr. Billy Redpath, a former Trust member, donated this trophy.

Winner:- Entrant Nr 59 – Damien Hughes, Dublin MCW Metrobus

The Ludgate Memorial Trophy
Presented by ‘Buses’ magazine and the Irish Transport Trust in memory of Reg Ludgate, a founder member of the I.T.T. Reg was a familiar figure at the Rally and was instrumental in getting it up and running in the early years. He wrote the ‘Irish Journey’ column for ‘Buses’ magazine for over thirty years and that at the time of his death he was its longest serving contributor. The trophy will be awarded to the vehicle, which in the opinion of a guest judge, is the best overall entry in the Rally.
